Ready to be done fighting your body? There's a place for you here

Notes on Unapologetic Aging

Hi Reader,

I’m reaching out because you expressed interest in my work and in finding support for changing your relationship with your body. And I wanted to make sure you knew about something I’ve created with you in mind.

The Unapologetic Aging Circle begins October 27, and registration closes Monday, October 26!

Over the years, I’ve heard some version of the same thing from so many women in midlife and beyond:

I’m so done with this. Done fighting my body. Done worrying about my weight, my belly, my wrinkles, and whether I’m aging the “right” way. I want to enjoy my life without my body being a constant project.

And yet, even when we recognize how much diet culture and ageism have shaped our relationship with our bodies, letting go of those deeply ingrained beliefs isn’t always easy.

Because knowing isn’t the same as embodying.

That’s why I’ve created the Unapologetic Aging Circle, a small, supportive, therapeutic circle based on my book, Unapologetic Aging: How to Mend and Nourish Your Relationship with Your Body.

This isn’t your typical Women's Circle.

We’ll use the book as our guide, but our time together will be about much more than discussing what we’ve read. We’ll explore what it looks and feels like to put these ideas into practice in our own lives.

The Unapologetic Aging process includes three essential ingredients:

Untangling: Recognizing and questioning the diet culture, ageism, and body shame we’ve absorbed over a lifetime.

Mending: Cultivating a more compassionate, respectful, and trusting relationship with our changing bodies.

Embodying: Moving beyond intellectual understanding through reflection, gentle somatic practices, and experiences that help us live what we’re learning.

And there’s a fourth ingredient that makes this Circle especially meaningful: community.

Because there is something powerful about being in a room (even a virtual one!) with other women who are ready to stop fighting their bodies, too.

A few details:

We begin Tuesday, October 27.

This will be a small, intimate group, with space for conversation, reflection, and connection.

We’ll work through the book together, so you don’t need to have read it before we begin. Just the first chapter for our first gathering!

I’ll facilitate our conversations and offer practices to help you bring what we’re exploring into your everyday life.

My hope is that you’ll leave our time together not with another list of things to do to improve yourself, but with a little more freedom to be yourself.

Registration closes Monday, October 26.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, I’d love to welcome you into the Circle.

And if you have questions or concerns about whether this is a good fit, please reach out. I’m happy to talk with you.

Your body has nothing left to prove. And you don’t have to figure out what that means all on your own.

Much love,

Deb

P.S. If the registration fee is a barrier, please reach out. I’m happy to discuss sliding-scale options when possible.

Much love,
Deb

PS-Here are the details:

You will be a part of a weekly online small group coaching circle

  • Begins: October 27
  • Weekly sessions: Tuesdays
    • 9:00 am PT / 12:00 pm ET
    • 75 minutes
  • All calls will be recorded if you can't make it!

We’ll meet together over 8 weeks to explore the work in my book, Unapologetic Aging, not just as ideas, but as lived practice. We will be discussing and utilizing the practices and journal prompts included in the book.

If this has been on your mind, I want to gently encourage you to follow that pull.

You don’t need to be in the “right place” with your body to join.
You just need a willingness to show up and stay curious.

And if you’re wondering whether this group is the right fit for you, please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to offer a complimentary 15–20 minute call to answer your questions.

I’m not into high-pressure sales—I want you to feel comfortable and confident that this is a space that truly supports you.

I would love to have you in this circle.

With care,
Deb
